The directors of this well developed niche design and manufacturing business for teenage and girls high street fashion wear, initially required a review of the company operational performance and finance support structure. Subsequently, the significant downturn in the UK economy at the end of 2008 created additional pressures on the business and its customer base.

MW Interim Finance provided, in addition to the initial requirements; a turn round business plan, phased budget and detailed cash flow forecast for directors to support a review of the strategic options for the business. Operationally, a robust and interactive weekly cash forecasting process was implemented, restructuring activities were put in place early in 2009 with cost savings of £200k per annum, (20% of total overhead), and lines of credit were reviewed in conjunction with options for future funding.

In April 2009 the directors made the decision to integrate with another complimentary business, thus securing the future of the Miss Sam product portfolio whilst generating the synergy of being in a larger business group.
