As part of an ongoing review of Group supply chain strategy a project was evaluated to deliver a cost optimised supply chain solution to the secondary production capability of a uniquely produced consumer healthcare product with a view to relocating from the UK to a joint venture business based in South East India.

Working as the supply chain finance director together with UK site and technical directors, and based both in the UK and India for the duration of the project, a detailed project plan was constructed with associated financial forecasts and implemented across agreed project phases.

The project was completed within expected timescales within the business delivering annualized costs savings of circa £3.5m per annum, based on conservative actual and forecast volumes.
